OK after 5K

I participated in the Kaiser Permanente Corporate Challenge 5K Run/Walk at Turner Field last night. For not really training, I made pretty good time walking it in about 52 minutes - about 16.7 minutes per mile. That's better than average for me, so I'm happy. Woke up this morning with a slight headache, probably need more water, but otherwise feeling fine. Tomorrow will be the real teller - I am usually more sore on the second day, if there is soreness to be had.

Not much going on this week. We got Wii Fit last weekend, so that helped me "train" for the 5K this past week (haha). But truly, it's been a lot of fun and I'm really enjoying the exercises on it. I'm up to my ears in Homecoming planning for the GTBAA, helping with planning a nWW meeting in a week and a half, and trying to study! On top of that, gas shortages around here have put driving anywhere at a premium, so for the most part we've been trying to limit our trips and consolidate errands wherever possible. Thank goodness DH and I are able to carpool!

Wii are having a good time

The Wii has gotten some attention the last two nights as we've started figuring things out. DH also bought Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 when he got the console, so it's been fun learning out how to play all the little games on it. My cousin is looking forward to our family wedding (another cousin)/reunion in Seattle this summer so that we can all play together again. Plus now we have two more "wiimotes" (as she calls them) and nunchucks, so we can have 4 players. She also has a bunch of games, so maybe we can try them out and decide which ones we might consider getting. Anyone have a game they really love? Anyone want to borrow our Raving Rabbids 2? The cat has been very confused by our jumping and swinging about in the middle of the living room. He does not get what we are so excited about. So he just runs across the floor and attacks my feet at random while I am playing tennis, bowling, etc... Too bad we can't attach a wiimote to him and get extra points in the dancing rabbids game...

Wii are in business!

After many weekends of scouring the Sunday paper early in the morning, I am pleased to say that "Operation French Affirmative" was finally accomplished this morning! Wii already have the Wii all set up, and oui, it is fun!
